Dogs and photography are the two things I enjoy most.
I've had dogs in my life since I was a child. My family had Boxers. I've since had Wire Fox Terriers, and now PBGVs (Petit Basset Griffon Vendéen). PBGVs are a French breed of scent hounds, bred to hunt rabbits. They also happen to be incredibly cute and have great personalities. The dogs shown in my photo at left are Kiki (lying down) and Bernie (sitting). Alas, neither is with me anymore. I now have Susie (left) and Taffy (right). They are excellent photo subjects as well as great companions. I train them in rally obedience and agility.
I've taken photos since I was in college, where I was chief photographer and photo editor for the school's newspaper and yearbook. The advent of digital photography renewed my interest in photography. For years I have been the unofficial chief photographer of the PBGV Club of America and the Mohawk-Hudson Cycling Club. I've taken photos at many PBGVCA national specialty shows and at the Westminster Kennel Club dog show. For several years I took photos at the Saratoga Performing Arts Center for their public relations use. I also did photography for Saratoga Living magazine and I'm now doing photography for the annual Saratoga Tour de Cure bicycle ride and the annual Dance Flurry in Saratoga Springs. I also photograph events hosted by the Glens Falls Kennel Club.
